Randy Scott Steinlauf

Randy Scott Steinlauf is a writer-director-producer and president of Shirasuna Productions, a Paris-based film production company.

His debut narrative short film, Fortificada – Family Council (2023), is adapted from his historical-fiction feature screenplay Fortificada, now in development. His second short, The Festival (2024), is a satire of the film festival circuit.

In late 2025, he completed principal photography in London on his short film The Frog-Prince, a mockumentary-style cautionary tale currently in the final stages of post-production. His dark comedy short Seniors Suicide Club is now in pre-production, with principal photography planned in Portugal for late 2026.

Beyond his screen work, he wrote his first stage play, Manifestation, in early 2025, and has since adapted it into a feature screenplay. In November 2025, he published his debut novel, The Expat, a satire of corporate America, adapted from his earlier screenplay of the same name.

Currently based in Portugal, he is fluent in English, French, and Portuguese, and conversational in Japanese.
